Moving beyond limitations
I offer individual sessions for children, babies and teenagers with atypical developmental and learning needs, and for typically developing children who may need help overcoming challenges, from pain and injury to stress and anxiety. Where appropriate, I also incorporate coaching for you and your child’s carers.
My focus is to help your child to learn their way out of difficulties. I do this by inviting them to enter into a learning experience that captures their interest and attention, and in which they feel empowered and respected.
I have extensive experience and have helped many children and their families to develop and learn beyond perceived limitations, including children living with:
undiagnosed developmental delays and difficulties • cerebral palsy • dyspraxia • spasticity due to accidents and premature birth • brain injury • childhood stroke • autism spectrum • genetic disorders • different forms of epilepsy • down syndrome • congenital brain defects • brachial plexus injury • scoliosis • perception difficulties • muscular dystrophy • attention deficit disorder • movement difficulties after accidents or surgery • trauma • learning difficulties • behaviour difficulties • anxiety difficulties
I also give group workshops for parents, carers and professionals working with children. These workshops are designed to further empower you to help your child learn in daily life. Many parents and carers find that the principles and practices also help them with their own challenges. Professionals discover new ideas relevant to their field.
You can read more about what happens in a lesson and how it works as well as my specialist training to do this work. In addition you can find testimonials from parents and families that I have helped.
